Our Mission & Vision

Pharmozon, LLC is a company that grew from the vision of Kenya Logan,
LMSW a medical social worker who had a desire to make a difference in the lives
of those facing barriers to daily living.

Mr. Logan takes pride in helping others and has founded Pharmozon, based on
the National Association of Social Workers
Code of Ethics Preamble

"the primary mission of the social work profession is to enhance human
well-being and help meet the basic human needs of all people, with particular
attention to the needs of all people who are vulnerable, oppressed, and living
in poverty..."

Those of us at Pharmozon, have formed the attitude that the world is a "global
village",
and what happens to some can affect many.  In building from this
philosophy we view ourselves in a philanthropy framework.  Our company motto
is formed from the two Greek words Philos (friend) and  Anthopy (mankind),
thus which the term philanthropist  is derived. These words sum up our company
to show the reason for our direction, motivation and continued focus.
Philos-Anthophy.... to be a Friend of Mankind is the cornerstone of our mission.
We believe that everyone has potential and "even the stone that the builder
refuses has value". Respect and value for everyone is our company culture.

The three principles guiding our company are
Education, Advocacy and Resource
Mobilization
.  We feel that education is the foundation of any successful venture.
We seek to educate the public about health related issues.  We take a great
interest in women's issues. In 2006 we contracted to develop and implement a
National Lupus Awareness Project through the National Institute of Health, Office
of Women's Health.

Pharmozon further seeks to provide training to health professionals as well as the
general public on health related issues.  We have several trainers in partnership
who have a wealth of experience in areas such as Geriatrics, Grief Counseling,
Cultural Diversity and Cultural Competence for the health care professional. We
are adding several training modules to our listing so if you are looking for training
contact us about your needs. We will also be providing training modules to
purchase for your agency/organization on specific topics affecting individuals.

Pharmozon also is interested in working with the community in solving the
complex issues of the poor and those with inadequate health care.

We pride ourselves in the philosophy of  acquiring resources which we can
redistribute to those in need through specialized programs.

One of the programs we have sponsored is a medicine assistance program.  This
program sought to help individuals find medication at reduced or free cost. We are
happy that since we started this effort, the pharmaceutical companies have
realized the public need and have taken an active role in providing medications to
those in need. As a result we have moved away from this focus to other issues
that are pressing our citizens.

We are also developing a program to assist those who are released from hospitals
in the South Carolina, Tri-County Area, (Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley
counties) with wound care and basic supplies.  We feel this is important because
many of those patients who are poor and discharged from the hospital cannot
afford simple items such as peroxide and gauze.  This can result in the possibility
of an additional trip to the hospital due to increased chances for infections.
Preventative care is very important and Pharmozon will seek to address these
issues in a variety of ways.

We seek to provide knowledge to the public as a means to empower them to
make informed decisions concerning their health and overall quality of life for
them and their loved ones." This philosophy also guides us to help those in the
helping profession by providing consultation, training as well as resource
mobilization.  Pharmozon believes by working closely with those in need and
those who help those in need, a bond could be formed based on understanding
though effective communication, respect and concern for each other.
